The 4.5-mile Lime Hollow course starts at the Lime Hollow Nature Center off McLean Road, on the way to Cortland. It’s a bit of a drive from Ithaca, but the trails are so scenic—there’s even outdoor art!—that we recommend running them twice if you want some more miles.
- Google Maps pin showing the start/finish
- Course map (same as the RunGo directions)
- General Lime Hollow trail map
- RunGo directions (for iOS, Android, or Apple Watch)
- Bathrooms: Outdoor bathrooms are available at the Lime Hollow Nature Center dawn to dusk. The indoor bathroom is available when the building is open.
2026 Reroute for Hunting Season: Due to early deer hunting this season, we’ve made a slight modification to the Lime Hollow Challenge course. The Jack’s Way trail is closed to the public for a deer bait and shoot program—please heed the trail closed signs and don’t cross the flagging tape. But there is an easy fix that keeps the course the same distance…
- Start/Finish where the Trail for All starts at the parking lot (rather than at the kiosk down the trail).
- Instead of taking a right onto Jack’s Way (about 3/4 mile in), go straight and then take a right at the next trail junction on High Vista Loop (blue trail markers). It will take you down a grassy hill and intersects with Jack’s Way at the bottom. Turn left at the bottom of the hill to continue on the course as normal.
