The 13.1-mile Freeville Fly-In course starts and finishes at the cute Campbell Meadow Park. It’s a flat road out-and-back course carefully designed to keep you on smaller roads. Along the route, you’ll go by Cornell research ponds, the firefighter training ground, and the Ithaca Airport. The Campbell Meadow trails are a nice option for a post-run cooldown walk, and you can even put your feet in the creek.
As with 5Ks and the Lakefront Loops course, you can submit results for this course from any half marathon race anywhere in the world (runs of the correct distance outside of a race don’t count). That way, if you’re traveling outside of the area on vacation, you can record some Challenge efforts. To get credit for a remote Freeville Fly-In completion, you must submit a race report on the forum, preferably with photos and a link to the results.
- Google Maps pin showing the start/finish
- RunGo directions (for iOS, Android, or Apple Watch)
- Download GPX file for importing into a GPS watch or smartphone app
- Bathrooms: No bathrooms on this course, sorry, and the Campbell Meadow trails aren’t that private.
