Electrical Box Art Quest

A fun adventure with scavenger hunt-like attributes and low-key, group run vibes to find painted electrical boxes around Ithaca, NY. Participants will be provided turn-by-turn directions for an old-school feel, plus a .gpx route to load into their watches. Various distances and elevation allows participants to choose their difficulty. Each distance has between 30 and 65 boxes to see. 2026 Quest Recap

Saturday morning was chilly for an urban art tour around Ithaca! Thirteen participants all made the inaugural quest so much fun. From casual hikes to distance PRs, they all embodied exactly what was envisioned for this event. It was lovely to see folks be willing to set aside competitiveness and instead run for fun. Everyone met at Liquid State afterwards for hearty beverages and pizza.

There are already ideas in the works to make things better next year, and two new boxes have been added to the list! Thanks to registrations and additional donations, FLRC will be able to make a $70 donation to Ithaca Murals.
