The Rochester Mile is going to be a fun and exciting addition to the Rochester Twilight Criterium on Saturday May 11th. Just like the Criterium, elite athletes will compete in separate 1-mile races (Elite Women’s and Elite Men’s). These races will be on the same course that the cyclists use with the highlight of the evening being the Elite Women’s race (with a purse of $2500) and an Elite Men’s race (also with a purse of $2500). Come see some of the fastest runners in the Northeast compete on the streets of the City of Rochester!
To participate in The Rochester Mile Elite Division you must have earned a qualifying time. Qualifying times are as follows:
Men’s Elite: 4:30 or faster mile
Women’s Elite: 5:30 or faster mile
Equivalent 1500 meter and 1600 meter times will be accepted.
No qualifying time required for the amateur division.
