6.66 miles with devils in the details—just short enough to push hard. But how to do it? Embrace the calf and lung burn tapered only by the beauty of the trail and waterfalls you’ll pass? Or save it in hopes of letting it all go on the final 3 miles of flowing singletrack… rolling as fast as your quads’ breaking will allow you to move?
We’ll again combine this event with the Cayuga Trails 50k/50M, which will go off earlier that morning. Located just south of Ithaca, staging will be at the old Y Camp—uphill from Lower Robert Treman’s South Shelter. The course will run up the Rim Trail, ascend the stairs, drop down the Gorge Trail, swing left up the Red Pine, cross the entry road, and connect with the FLT for a fast downhill finish. The $25 entry fee includes an event shirt (if registered by April 28) and post race food.
