Cayuga Trails has been named by Trail Runner Magazine as one of the most scenic courses in the east. Starting and finishing at Robert Treman State Park in Ithaca, the 50-mile and 50k courses run through, up, and around the famed gorges at Treman and Buttermilk Falls State Parks and the preserve at Lick Brook, all while traversing singletrack, rolling hills, hundreds of stone stairs, and a few steep climbs. The course format was modified in 2020 per COVID, and we’ll repeat the format for the 2021 race. It’s roughly 95% trail, 5% paved, and only a few miles where you’ll overlap with other entrants in an out-and-back format.

Entrants will get to run a beautiful course supported by amazing volunteers and stocked aid stations, post-race food from Fittnell Farms Catering, and a Specialized Purist finishers bottle. For those who register before March 30 you’ll also receive a tech shirt from Patagonia or Royal Apparel (made in NY), and a deluxe event bag from Boco Gear. Portions of each entry will go to support local trail and park projects through the Finger Lakes Land Trust, Finger Lakes Trail Conference, and State Parks Heritage Trust.
