Scholarships
Contribute to the Joseph P. Reynolds Scholarship Fund. The fund provides scholarships to deserving high school seniors who have plans for continuing their education and have participated in their running community during their high school experience. Coach Joe believed the scholarship fund had value and would provide a legacy by supporting youth running. He was a strong advocate of all types of running for all types of people. He believed in equality, diversity, and the benefits of a good run.

Porta-Potties
Since 2023, FLRC has sponsored porta-potties at key trail locations, beginning with the Black Diamond Trail and the Freeville end of the Dryden Rail Trail in the first season, and expanding to Hammond Hill in subsequent years. These amenities are intended for runners, hikers, bikers, and all trail users, and they’ve been appreciated by many. If you’d like to help offset the cost of providing these facilities, you can donate to the FLRC Throne Zone campaign. Thank you!
Race Medals
Do you have old race medals or trophies you no longer want? Donate them to FLRC—thanks to Ian Golden, you can drop them off at the Finger Lakes Running Company store anytime. We’ll give them to children who complete an event at a track meet to encourage them to run. Kids can pick out a medal only after they’ve completed an event, and since we run heats slow to fast, the youngest kids get first dibs. Many of these kids are well under 10, so they’re happy to get a shiny medal or trophy and aren’t at all perturbed that it may have been for the 60-64 age group at some local 5K. Once you drop off your extra medals, add a comment to the forum post on the topic so we know to pick them up.
