Be sure to include the 13th Annual Peter de Mott Peace Trot 5K and One Mile Fun Run on your running calendar for Father’s Day, Sunday, June 19th in Ithaca.
This event is a fundraiser for peace activism inspired by Peter de Mott, a running enthusiast who was devoted to nonviolent advocacy for peace. Happily, the run is returning this year as an in-person event to its beautiful course in Ithaca’s Cass Park/Treman Marina, much of it along the waterfront. You’ll be able to register in mid-April at https://www.peterdemottpeacetrot.org/. The run is a favorite of all manner of runners, walkers, and strollers. Start time will be 9 AM. You can learn about the good uses that the proceeds go to at that same website. The timing will be provided by Leone Timing.
