(February 13, 2017; Auburn, NY)… Registration for East Hill’s 2017 Amazing Race is now open online at www.easthillsamazingrace.com! Set to take place on Sunday, May 7th, the leisurely competition will once again challenge 2-person teams to trek through downtown Auburn, visit different stations and undertake an assortment of interesting and fun challenges. Registration is $40 per team and includes participant t-shirts, goody bags and admission to the after party at Hilton Garden Inn on State Street in Auburn. Modeled after the popular Emmy-winning television show, East Hill’s Amazing Race is open to participants ages 8 and up. Each 2-person team will be given a map with clues to take them across downtown Auburn and to the stations where they’ll complete challenges before moving to the next location. This year, we will have two different routes to accommodate those who wish to be more competitive in their approach and those who enjoy a more leisurely walk. The three teams – one from each route – that finish with the best overall time win!
Proceeds from East Hill’s 2017 Amazing Race and its sponsorship will support the purchase of a vision screener to be used in our Pediatric Office. This sensor will allow vision screenings to be done starting at age three. The vision screener is portable and should expedite the process as well as allow for more universal screening.
