The weather gods once again smiled on race directors Steve Ryan and Jon Marks -- and the 121 runners. For all sixteen years this race has existed, it has never rained during the race. The Boor family were the only ones to camp out at the Hauck Hill campsite the night before the race; they said there was lightning and thunder all around, but not a drop of rain fell. This helped trail conditions, it was wet and muddy in a few spots, but it could have been worse.

In the 7K, Nate Lockett and Amy Rhodes were victorious, and in the 15K it was James Davenport and Jennifer Morgan. James cut 3 seconds off the previous course record (1:00:18, held both by him [last year] and Peter Yacobucci) with his 1:00:15.

After the race, the traditional Archway cookies, washed down with soda or beer, were enjoyed by all.
